How do I get started?
The process begins with an initial meeting at which time we present our philosophy and approach, and you communicate your financial needs and goals. From there, we jointly decide if we are the right fit. There is no charge for this initial meeting, and there is no obligation on your behalf. The next step toward working with us is to set up accounts at, and transfer accounts to, a fee advisor-friendly custodian. Clients sign our contract and the necessary account forms.
Who holds my assets?
Falcon Capital Management, Inc. works with several advisor-friendly custodians such as Charles Schwab & Co. and TD Ameritrade and can also work with more traditional custody platforms such and banks and trust companies. These firms custody the assets. By signing a limited power of attorney with the custodian, they allow Falcon Capital Management, Inc. to place trades on behalf of clients, obtain data in order to view portfolios, forward money from the account to the client, and debit our fee.
Must I live in Connecticut?
No, we have many clients all over the US.
How do I access my account?
You will receive monthly statements from the custodian and statements from Falcon Capital Management, Inc. reconciled to the custodian. You can view accounts online either through the custodian website or with a link from our website. We also post client account information on our site accessed through a secure login. Each account is always in the client's name and is their money. We can facilitate automatic deposits or withdrawals to you and can always arrange wire transfers or checks.
